Veruca Salt – Music Hall of Williamsburg – 2014

Veruca Salt fans were treated to a series of high energy concerts in 2014 featuring the original band line-up for the first time since 1997. This set is from the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn and was taken with the Sony RX-100 III point and shoot (replacing the disappointing Panasonic used on the TRL Philly set). The camera’s performance and handling in the difficult lighting conditions (low light and high dynamic range) was impressive. The photos are virtually straight out of the camera with adjustments and noise reduction in LR. Presented in the order taken with aspect ratios from the camera (vsbklyn-17 was shot at 16:9).

The Both

Here are a couple of black and white shots of The Both – Aimee Mann and Ted Leo – from their concert on May 1st, 2014 at The Music Hall in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Shot on Kodak Tri – X 400 pushed to 3200 to see what would happen. Scanned on a Nikon Coolscan 9000 with minor spotting in PS. This roll was shot with a Leica M6 TTL and Summicron 50mm F2 – both of which have since departed from my collection.
