Humphrey’s Concerts by the bay

Before the Go-Go’s began their three night set of shows at the Hollywood Bowl, they played this show at Humphrey’s in San Diego. This set of shows featured the return of Kathy Valentine (she had played earlier in the year with the band for a couple of private events). Even though Kathy was back, Gina Schock was unfortunately sidelined due to her recovery from surgery earlier in the year. Taking her place was Chris Arredondo, who in addition to being a drummer himself, has been Gina’s drum tech for the past few years. He filled in admirably and the band sounded great. This set was shot with the Nikon D4s and 70-200mm f2.8 with 1.4 TCE for some shots. The shots from the side of the stage were taken with the 24-70mm f2.8.
